Case Study - Demonstrating ROI

Working with: Emailogic and Guy’s and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust

Aim

To assess the effectiveness of Emailogic's email training course on the well-being of employees at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust.

Approach

Work and Well-Being designed a study to monitor the effects of those who received a 90 minute face-to-face email training session and compared these to two control groups; one group were sent email etiquette guidelines and another group received neither training nor guidelines.

Results

The study showed conclusively that face-to-face email training saved staff on average 31 minutes each day. Monetised, this equates to 74 additional staff posts and estimated savings in terms of staff time worth £2.2m each year, based on 1,000 staff completing the training.

Commercial Benefit

Emailogic now has compelling independent evidence that their face-to-face email training delivered a statistically significant improvement in employees' reported well-being and performance.

‘Findings from the research, undertaken by Work and Well-Being, shows that the amount of time that people spend on their has been reduced by half an hour a day, anxiety has decreased and people are less stressed in the workplace.'

Staynton Brown, Associate Director, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation
‘We wanted to evidence the benefits of our email training. Thanks to Work & Well-Being’s independent assessment of our approach, we now have proper, statistical research that shows, irrefutably, our email training saves people time and improves their performance. This is invaluable when we speak with prospects. Work & Well-Being has been a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to recommend them.'
