The concept
Our concept and approach are unique.
The Work and Well-Being Assessments (WWBAs) are questionnaires that comprise a set of standardised work-related items that the majority of employees in a particular sector find the most important and relevant to their general well-being. They have been developed on the same robust measurement principles used to measure patient well-being in clinical research.
The WWBAs measure work-related well-being that can be defined as:
" ..that part of an employee's overall well-being which is determined primarily by work and which can be influenced by work-place interventions.. "
It is important to note that our WWBAs include only variables that an employer can modify.
Many organisations conduct work-place surveys to assess factors such as levels of engagement and understanding. Some tools also seek to measure levels of physical and psychological health amongst employee groups. It is supposed that these conventional assessments provide insight into employee well-being. However, these assumptions can be ill founded and it is better to measure well-being directly.
The Work and Well-Being Assessments are the only instruments available that are able to measure the well-being status of a workforce directly.
